I r? Recently re? U a letter of recommendation for? Studies sup? Rieures a teacher? the universit? o? I assist?. I know it is customary to send at least a nice thank you note or card, but I wonder if it would be okay to send something more like a small gift basket or something. I only ask because I feel like I t? pr? s of the teacher. Although we did not parl? a lot during my career? re al? ge We had bi? in res? tat of? bri t? together at the campus pub several times. We? Also a fact? Study classes three weeks? the? couple abroad in Mexico, and then me and all? students we have t? relatively close. I guess I ask because I would get a little something more to show my appr? Association, but I’m not s? R if it is appropriate?. . ?

The situation is such that a small gift basket,
bottle of wine, or similar small present is totally appropriate.
You don’t have to make it a gift for the rec. then. Just send him a gift that is meaningful to you and put a letter about how you enjoyed his class and his teaching with it. Send a little thank you card for the rec with it if you want. If you really did appreciate him then just send him a gift for being such a good teacher and mentor.
Just send a thank you card , and if you have something a gift to give then that is fine as well.
